Police say that the number of sex predators using the Internet to target teens is on the rise.
Smart phones are plugging in new ways to connect to the Internet.
Police say this technology is a reason online sexual assault now happens more than ever.
It's also easy for predators to track any photos sent to them through phones.
Many students bring their concerns about predators to School Resource Officer Matt Kessler.
Cpl. Matt Kessler- "It's very disheartening to know the things that are going on online and some of its really hard to do anything about at this.. I also have children myself so you know it really makes me think of the people out there and the things that they're doing to our children.... "
Kessler says always remind any minor, its important to contact a parent, counselor, or an adult they trust if they feel targeted.
